COVID 19 -Gratitude a perspective

March 2020, the month where dangers of covid started looming like a dark cloud on the entire globe, and it was like the world was coming to a sudden unanticipated Break!! The chaos, the panic, the fear, the uncertainty, and many more negative emotions grappled every human from a child to an adult during these unprecedented times. Eyes stayed lit on graphs, curves, and numbers!

Alas !! After a few months, we all accepted the fact that Covid is here to stay, and the only wise option was to start chiming in with the prayer of positivity and gratitude.

Masks and social distance became the new normal, board games, and Netflix took over in living rooms, and most of us forced into new routines of zoom and Webex meetings as a way of living with sustainability. And like the coin has two sides as we heard the death toll rising and saw gut-wrenching dead bodies on one side, the other side of the coin reflected a universal message of introspection and new possibilities and ways of life.

Most families created quality moments and memories in quarantine days. Healthy people unaffected by COVID learned multi-fold gratitude to healthcare heroes. We were all faced with determining and evaluating our time and existence on earth! Life's value became much more critical with the necessity and urged to spread the good in the world as life was not promised with a covid dagger hanging around young or old.

As a family, we had to ride the waves of emotions with losing some near ones and celebrating the warriors who made pass Covid. It taught the yin and yang balance to emotions. Looking at the half glass full became a necessity for positive nourishment to mental health for most.

I have reason to express gratitude to be able to create the best family moments, rise in adversity, lift others up, gratitude for being able to talk within when the outside world's noise and voice were shuttered off!

I grieved a significant loss was a high school friend who paid a heavy price to COVID and lost her husband in the young forties. It is irreparable damage, but every day I see her rise like a warrior !! The only choice of forgiveness, acceptance, and Gratitude!

Thus Covid adversity leads to gratitude and enlightenment within!

A reason that set entire -” global eyes to focus on one problem.”

A happening that enforced self-control and discipline on desires which generally may not be an easy feat in routine life. We learned to live with little and donate with abundance to help.
